The 2025 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup has a space-age look that turns heads and the capability to tow and carry heavy loads with ease. On top of this, it also has powerful off-road capability. We’re going to dive in and look at some of its many features.
Air Ride Adaptive Suspension
This feature is standard on the HUMMER EV Pickup and uses a mini air compressor and flexible bellows to adjust the suspension to your needs. The system is controlled by a selector on the center console and offers a choice of four modes, selected by pushing the up or down icons on the selector. Entry/Exit Mode lowers the suspension, making it easier to get in or out, while Normal Mode is standard height for everyday driving.
Terrain Mode increases your vehicle’s already towering 10.1″ ground clearance to 11.9″ to tackle rough terrain, and Extract Mode raises ground clearance even further to a towering 15.9″ to cross large rocks or other obstacles. The final option, Aero Mode, automatically activates when you’re driving on the highway and lowers the suspension closer to the ground to reduce wind resistance and increase performance.
4-Wheel Steer
This system allows all four wheels to turn and is automatically activated unless you switch it off. At low speed, the rear wheels move in the opposite direction to the front wheels. This reduces your turning circle and makes it easy to guide your HUMMER EV Pickup into a difficult parking space or to make tight turns on narrow trails.
At higher speeds, each wheel moving improves stability and makes towing a trailer or other heavy object easier. The system also has the unique CrabWalk Mode that you can use both on and off-road. CrabWalk operates at speeds below 25 mph and enables the rear wheels to move at the same angle as the front wheels, so you can drive diagonally.
Extreme Off-Road Package
This package takes the HUMMER EV Pickup’s ability to conquer off-road terrain to even greater heights. Skid plates are installed to provide full underbody armor to protect the battery pack and drive unit. Rocker panels are also installed to connect the front and rear of the chassis for additional strength and to reinforce the cabin.
Front and rear electronically locking differentials give you enhanced control over the wheels. They ensure that both wheels on the same axle move at the same speed, which improves traction on wet, muddy, or snowy terrain. Front and rear waterproof underbody Ultravision cameras allow you to see the terrain closer than ever. Finally, 18″ wheels with 35″ tires replace the original wheels and tires.
